Location

Galway Racecourse is situated approximately five kilometers from Galway city, and approximately three kilometers from Galway Airport. Race-goers are advised to allow ample time for their journey.

Gates will open two and a half hours before the first race on each day. There are a number of entry points to the Galway Races. All routes are clearly marked by yellow A.A. signs. Gardaí will be at hand to direct traffic to and from the track.

For regular traffic updates during race week tune into Galway Bay FM on 96.8 FM Bus Éireann will be transporting punters to the Galway Races from Galway City. Race goers will be able to avail of a shuttle bus service from Galway city centre to Ballybrit during the Galway Races.
