Track Information at Galway Races
Galway Races is recognised as the leading summer festival in Ireland, staging both flat and national hunt races.
Galway race-track is a right handed course of one mile and two furlongs, with a steep decline into the dip where the last two fences are situated. These fences are famous for being the closest two fences on any racecourse in the world. There is a sharp incline to the finish line.
Effect of Draw: High numbers have a slight advantage in seven furlong and one mile races.
The Stable Yard has the following facilities:
- 165 standard horse boxes.
- Dope testing facilities by Turf Club Veterinary Officials.

- All types of bedding available on pre-arranged request
