Chanelle Veterinary Leading Trainer Award

Dermot Weld took home the Chanelle Veterinary Leading Trainer Plate and a cheque for €3,800 for the 23rd time out of 24 years on the final day of the Galway Races 2009.

Dermot had been the constant leader throughout the festival.

The Leading Trainer award is presented to the Trainer with the most points accumulated over the 7 days of the summer festival. Trainers receive 5 points for a win, 3 points for second and 1 point for third.
