Join us on the second day of the 2019 Summer Festival for a fantastic evening of great horse racing, entertainment and a sports twist to the event as we host our celebrity ‘Paddy Power Zorbing Derby’ in aid of the Injured Jockeys Fund. This fundraiser takes place before racing begins and will feature our five ‘zorb athletes’ including last years winner Sky Sports hurling analyst Ollie Canning who will be back to defend his title! Lots of fun in store for such a great cause.
With the first horse race at 5.20pm, it’s the ideal opportunity for you and your work colleagues to organise a well deserved night out this Summer and at the Galway Races you never know what well known sports stars and personalities you’ll bump into, particularly for this occasion.
Racing that evening centres around the COLM QUINN BMW Mile Handicap underpinned by a superb prize pot of €120,000 designed to attract the best handicappers in this division in Ireland. That evening we are also delighted to have the sponsorship support from the Latin Quarter and Caulfield Industrial.
We are delighted to have the generous support of the following businesses for day two of our Summer Festival:
Colm Quinn BMW, The Latin Quarter, Caulfield Industrial and the European Breeders Fund. The feature race of the evening is kindly sponsored by Colm Quinn BMW. Join us for our Sports and Social day where we have a very special sports event on the racecourse before the first race all in aid of the Injured Jockey’s Fund.
