Fridays Most Stylish Competition
The Friday of the Galway Races Summer Festival is one of our most popular days as we head into the Bank Holiday weekend. Our ‘Fridays Most Stylish Award’ is one of the highlights of the week for the ladies who attend the Galway Races and there is always a fantastic atmosphere. While we’re disappointed that our racegoers can’t be there in person this year, we’re determined to do all we can to lift people’s spirits and put a smile on people’s faces.

Until now, only racegoers with tickets for the Friday of the Galway Races have been able to enter the competition. However, this year all ladies are eligible to enter, simply by submitting a photograph of themselves in their outfit via the Fridays Most Stylish Facebook event page (which we will launch shortly). This is a chance for all ladies, no matter where you live, to take part from your living room, kitchen or garden. Whether you’re wearing the outfit you were originally going to wear on the day or you just fancy dressing up for a change

Athlone Towncentre’s Celebrity Judges will select the finalists and the over all winner that has a flair for style which reflects the vibrant summer Galway Races Festival. With the competition in its ninth year, contemporary and boutique retailers, such as those housed within Athlone Towncentre, may also be reflected in the outfits worn by racegoers.

Further details of this event will be announced so keep an eye on all our social media platforms for the latest news on celebrity judges, the much sought after prize and style guide for 2020.

Athlone Towncentre is home to major fashion brands including Zara, River Island and H&M as well as boutiques. It is an ideal shopping destination with over 60 brands under one roof as well as numerous food offerings catering to all tastes.

Support from our Sponsors

We are delighted to have the generous support of Guinness for day five of our Summer Festival who have generously sponsored all races on the card. Thank you to Athlone Towncentre Shopping Centre for supporting Friday’s Most Stylish competition.
