Day 4 of racing behind closed doors.
Widely renowned as ‘Ladies Day’ at the Galway Races, Thursday traditionally combines the very best in horse racing and stunning fashion. The first of eight jump races takes place at 4.45pm and the last race at 8.15pm. Thursday features the much sought after Galway Hurdle Handicap race with an impressive prize fund of €300,000 on offer.
Regarded as Ireland’s largest horse racing Festival, this year as we will race behind closed doors we invite you to sit back in the comfort of your own home and join us via RTE television and our social media channels as we bring you live coverage of all the action both on and off the track.
A Virtual Ladies Day Experience
While we’re disappointed our race goers can’t be here in person this Summer to enjoy all that our Ladies Day offers, we’re very energised and excited to be planning a ‘Virtual Ladies Day Experience’. Until now, only race goers with tickets for the Thursday of the Galway Races have been able to enter the competition. However, this year all ladies are welcome to enter, no matter where in the world you may be. Start planning your ladies day outfits and hats and celebrate the women in your life (your mum, friends, sisters and daughters). Now more than ever we need to relish these very special relationships. More information will be released shortly. We’re very excited about this one!!!!
